Projects

From apartment buildings to business offices, retail outlets, warehouses, religious and educational institutions, even specialized projects like cement storage silos, Century Roofing 3 Generations has experience for any roofing project.

While we apply our superior roofing know-how to any project we work on, we don’t take a cookie-cutter approach to any job. We tailor our approach to each roof, taking into consideration the whole roof, it’s condition, the building’s location, as well as time and safety concerns that might arise for a particular job.

With over 26 years of operation, Century Roofing 3 Generations has built an extensive portfolio of roofing projects that we are proud to showcase. Click any of the links below to see samples of projects we have worked on.

Re-Roofing - Company Office & Warehouse

Background

L.A. Gauge Comapny is an ultra precision machining company of Beryllium Alloys and other exotic metals. They turned to Century Roofing 3 Generations when their last foam re-roofing job began to leak. The old  roof was torn off and the exisiting roof was reinforced with a ployester and emulsion.

Results

Upon completion, L.A. Gauge Company recieved a 10 year warranty and and started a yearly maintenance program. The new roof stopped the leaks and strengthened the overall integrity of the roof. Walking decks were installed to minimze foot traffic.

Roof Restoration/Reinforcement -  Office, Warehouses & Laboratories

Background

The HR Textron building had been leaking for several years, risking damage to sensitive electronic equipment used in aircraft and armored vehicles. A "clean room" inside the building could not allow any dust or contaminates, so tear-off and traditional "hot mop" roofing would not be an option. Century Roofing installed a polyester and emulsion cold process roof over the exisiting roof.

Results

Upon completion, HR Textron recieved a 10 year warranty and started a maintenance plan. The roof was able to be installed without messy tear-off and avoided the noxious fumes associated with conventional roofing methods.

Roof Restoration/Reinforcement - Office, Warehouse & Laboratory

Background

Nu Hope Labaratories makes medical products. Thier roof was fourteen years old, nearing the end of its life. Skylights, vents and drains were constantly being patched. The two swamp coolers used to cool the warehouse were straining to maintain temperature during the summer months. Century Roofing proposed to reinforce the existing roof without tear off and then seal it with an energy saving elastomeric white coating.

Results

Nu Hope recieved a 10 year warranty upon completion. All leaky areas were sealed and reinforced and the white coating helped to reduce the energy costs of air conditioning while protecting the roof from damaging UV rays.

Roof Restoration/Reinforcement - Severall School Buildings, Classrooms & Walkways

Background

Century Roofing reinforced all roofs in the school with cold process polyester and emulsion topped off with an aluminum coating. 11 years later Century was contracted to improve the roofs by recoating all the buildings with a white elastomeric coating.

Results

Even though there were no leaks with the original cold process roof Century Roofing previously installed, Incarnation Elementarty was able to extend their roof life another 10 years, lower thier utility bills all at 1/3 the cost of re-roofing. Recoating every 10 years combined with a yearly maintenance plan will allow the roofs to last indefinitely.

Roof Reinforcement/Coating - Several School Buildings, Classrooms & Walkways

Background

St Linus contracted Century Roofing to replace their old school building roofs. An odorless polyester and emulsion system was proposed to create a leak proof, seamless roof.

Results

St Linus Middle School was able to save money by installing a polyester and emiulsion system as opposed to a conventional hot tar system. The white coating will also help to save money by lowering cooling costs in all the buildings.

Roof Reinforcement/Coating - Several School Buildings, Classrooms & Walkways

Background

La Reina High School had several leaks in the flat roofs that covered their gym, classrooms and cafeteria. They thought that they would have to tear off and reinstall everything, but Century Roofing showed them that it was possible to reinforce their exisitng roof at a fraction of the cost. 10 years later, the roofs were reinspected. While there were no leaks, it was found that a layer of fungus was begining to coat the roofs. The highschool decided to powerwash the roofs and then recoat them.

Results

The new coating ensures that the buildings will last another 10 years or more. In place with a maintenance plan, these roofs will last indefinitely.

Re-Roofing/Roof Reinforcement - Several  School Buildings, Classrooms & Walkways

Background

St Paul High School had several old rock roofs that were failing. Over the years, their maintenance crews tried to patch up the leaks, but they soon realized that they needed a long term solution. Century Roofing introduced them to a tough new roofing system that is more durable and longer lasting than their old roofs.

Results

Upon completion St. Paul High School received a 10 year warranty. Their leaks were stopped and they had increadibly tough roofs that are rain and weather resistant. By adopting a yearly maintenance program, they will make their roofs last much longer than the warranty.

Specialized Roof Reinforcement/Coating - Cement Storage Silos

Background

Mitsubishi Mining Company in Lucerne Valley California had a big problem. Water was leaking into the cement silos whenever it rained causing huge production and efficieny problems. The high pressure in the silos would cause cement to blow out which would then harden on the surface of the roof causing accesibility problems as well as making the leaks difficult to patch. Century Roofing proposed a plan in which the silos would be completely cleaned off of cement of debris, right down to the original roof so it could be sealed properly.

Results

The job came in on time and on budget. The once irregular roof is now smooth, and the silos are all water-tight. A walking deck was installed to all of the high foot-traffic areas.

Specialized Roof Reinforcement/Coating - Cement Storage  Silos

Background

Seeing the effectiveness of the roofing system at Mitsubishi Mines, National Cement contracted Century Roofing to clean off and seal their cement storage silos as well. The last time an attempt at waterproofing was made, foam was sprayed over the lumpy cement and it has failed to keep the silos watertight.

Results

The new roof created a smooth, seamless and water-tight seal. The toughness of Polyester and Emulsion combined with a protective elastomeric white coating will keep the product dry and keep mine productions on schedule.

Specialized Roof Reinforcement/Coating - Cement Storage Silos

Background

Century Roofing was able to apply the same techniques to CalPortland Cement that they used on previous silo roofing projects. The next year Century Roofing was called in to seal more silos on another location at the mine.

Results

The new roof created a smooth, seamless and water-tight seal. The toughness of Polyester and Emulsion combined with a protective elastomeric white coating will keep the product dry and keep mine productions on schedule.

Emergency Patch/Roof Reinforcement - KTLA Broadcasting Station

Background

Century Roofing was called in for emergency repairs when a rainstorm threatened to damage KTLA's electronic broadcasting equipment. KTLA was familiar with a very durable reinforced roof maintenance system that had been applied on several of their stages. Century Roofing had introduced them to this procedure several years earlier and it worked so well that KTLA had it applied on most of the flat roofs on the studio lot.

Results

The broadcasting station imposed a few unquie challenges - narrow work areas, and an ice shield that required the workers to work in a crouching position. Time was taken to seal everything properly and create a tight, seamless waterproof roof.

Re-Roofing/Roof Reinforcement - Production Stages & Buildings

Background

Ren-Mar Studios has several stages that they rent to movie and television production companies. Clients rent their stages from a few days to several months. One thing they can!t have is a leaky stage that disrupts production. A conventional built up roof creates noxious fumes during installation that disturbs nearby tenants, and a torch system using open flame was too dangerous to apply. Century Roofing was able to provide a safe and oder free solution with a cold process roof using a fiberglass base sheet and polyester and emulsion ply sheets.

Results

Upon completion Ren-Mar received a 10 year warranty. A maintenance plan was implemented to keep the roof doing its job far longer than the warranty period.
