Silos 1-8 at National Cement
Walkways, tubing and vents were taken into consideration as part of the roofing plan for these cement storage silos.
Cement debris and build up covered everything.
This silo roof had been neglected for years, cement dust blowout would harden up every time it rained.
This service ladder was sealed to the roof.
To properly waterproof and seal the roof, each penetration was scrapped down to the original metal with grinders.
Prepwork took a few months. In the foregorund, you can see two penetrations that have been ground down and cleaned.

Jackhammers were used to clear the main bulk of the debris from the silo roofs.

Dust and debris has been cleared away and all penetrations are ready to be sealed.
After priming the roof, emulsion and fiberglass roving are sprayed on to the roof to create a waterproof barrier.
Saftey regulations are always followed to ensure that there are no accidents while working.
After the emulsion had dried, an acrylic white coating was painted onto the roof.
Three coats of white were applied.
The finished roof is clean, sealed and completely watertight.
